Inova Alexandria Hospital to Hold Annual Women’s Expo
Meet Regional Healthcare Experts, Cookbook Author and Receive Free Health Screenings
Alexandria, VA – (October 27, 2010) – Do you find it a challenge to prepare healthy meals with a hectic schedule? Are you concerned about conceiving later in life? Would you like to learn how to perform CPR on an infant? Learn more about these and other important healthcare issues at Inova Alexandria Hospital’s annual Women’s Expo on Nov. 13.
Meet with the region’s leading health professionals in breast care, reproductive health and other women’s issues and receive free screenings.
Norah O’Donnell, MSNBC correspondent and co-author of “Baby Love: Healthy, Easy, Delicious Meals for Your Baby and Toddler,” will demonstrate recipes from the cookbook she co-authored with her husband Chef Geoff Tracy and discuss how busy parents can take a healthier approach to eating and feed their kids easy-to-make, cost-effective, nutritious and meals.

Attendees can listen to expert panel discussions and choose from a number of tests, including blood-pressure checks and sun-exposure screenings. Nurses and hospital staff will be on hand to answer questions about nutrition, heart health, stroke prevention, labor and delivery, cancer and more. An hour-long infant CPR instruction-and-safety class will be offered for those who register.
