Inova Mount Vernon Hospital Surgeon Named Among Top in Nation
Publication Highlights 70 Knee Surgeons in U.S.
Alexandria, VA- (January 4, 2011)—Gerard Engh, MD, Surgeon, Orthopedics, Inova Mount Vernon Hospital, was recently named among the nation’s top 70 knee surgeons by Becker’s Orthopedic & Spine Review, which provides business and legal news about orthopedic practices. The publication evaluated physicians based on their awards, leadership, published work and professional recommendations.
Engh pioneered the development of hip and knee implants and is recognized as an authority on joint replacement. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopeadic Surgeons, a member of the American Orthopeadic Society and past president of The Knee Society.
Engh earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia and completed his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
