Inova Loudoun Hospital Celebrates Ashburn HealthPlex Groundbreaking

Leesburg, VA – June 11, 2014 – Elected officials, community representatives, and Inova leaders broke ground today on the Inova HealthPlex – Ashburn. Positioned at the Dulles Greenway and Loudoun County Parkway, the Ashburn HealthPlex will be located on 8.6 acres of land.

The first phase will include approximately 50,000 square feet of developed space and represents a planned investment of $32.5 million by Inova Health System. The new facility will offer 24-hour full service Emergency Department, diagnostic imaging center, physical therapy and physician offices. Construction is expected to be complete by the fall of 2015.

“For over 100 years we’ve been providing healthcare services to the residents of Loudoun, we are privileged to be able to not only continue our service but also expand it here in Ashburn,” commented H. Patrick Walters, CEO, Inova Loudoun Hospital.

Establishing a HealthPlex in Ashburn underscores Inova’s commitment to providing the community access to essential health care services while doing so within the twenty-minute driving time window as prescribed by the County’s Health Care Facilities Plan.
