Inova Loudoun Hospital Earns Emergency Nurses Prestigious Lantern Award (Only ER in Virginia)
Leesburg, VA – Inova Loudoun Hospital is proud to announce it has been selected as a recipient of the Emergency Nurses Association’s (ENA) 2019 Lantern Award for demonstrating exceptional and innovative performance in leadership, practice, education, advocacy and research at its Inova Emergency Room – Ashburn. A record 28 emergency departments from across the United States have been named recipients of the Emergency Nurses Association’s 2019 Lantern Award; Inova Loudoun was the only ER in Virginia. This is Inova’s fourth ER to receive the prestigious Lantern designation:
- Wheeler Family Emergency Department (Inova Loudoun Medical Campus – Cornwall) 2018-2021 Award Recipient
- Inova Children’s Emergency Room at Loudoun Hospital (Inova Loudoun Hospital Medical Campus – Lansdowne) 2016-2019 Award Recipient
- Inova Virts Miller Family Emergency and Trauma Center (Inova Loudoun Hospital Medical Campus – Lansdowne) 2015-2018 Award Recipient
The ENA Lantern Award showcases the emergency department’s accomplishments in incorporating evidence-based practice and innovation into emergency care. The award also serves as a visible symbol of a commitment to quality, safety and a healthy work environment.
