WHO: Inova Blood Donor Services (IBDS)
WHAT: With students and faculty away from schools during spring break, IBDS is seeking blood donations from the community to assist with the region’s blood supply.
About 20% of the region’s blood supply come from area high school students through school blood drives. As students are now off from school, donations from community members are essential to maintaining a stable and adequate blood supply in the coming week, which can help save lives and ensure patient needs continue to be met.
WHEN: Now or at the upcoming Peeps Donation Event – Friday, April 7, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
WHERE: Donate at one of the three Inova Blood Donor Services centers and save a life.

Inova Blood Donor Services plays a critical role in the region by supporting the majority of hospitals in the Washington, DC, region, including all Inova hospitals, with a safe and adequate blood supply for patients in the community we serve. To support the needs of the region, Inova Blood Donor Services must collect 200 units a day from generous blood, platelet, plasma and double red cell donors.
